Singapore JBP

Hubby and I love unplanned outings. So last Saturday after we had our medical checkup, we have another one of those moments. While having our late breakfast and early lunch (I think they call it brunch ;) after fasting for more than 10 hours (doctor’s order for blood sampling), I asked Hubs if he had been to JBP.

Me: Have you been to JBP?
Hubs: What’s JBP?
Me: Jurong Bird Park (with a sheepish grin)
Hubs: Nope.
Me: You want to go?
Hubs: Sure!
Me: Tara!

So here is our afternoon adventure at Jurong Bird Park

We were greeted by colorful macaw near the park's entrance

family picture? ;)

cute parakeets
charming ms. ostrich

And we even spotted two new bird species...

love birds cheeezzzy...

Ostrich family??? ;)

You know how Singapore weather is, its sunny, the next minute is rains...
It was raining but the Show still go on...

Though Mrs. Hornbill (not shown in picture) was not so cooperative,
but Mr. Parrot here wowed the audience including
the Pres. of Banglades (among the audience)

We ended the day with a refreshing mango drink :)

To Get to the BirdPark, we took the EW Line from Jurong East Interchange going to Joo Koon and we alighted at Boon Lay Station. At the Boon Lay Bus Interchange, we took the bus 251 all the way to the park :) Tickets are at:
Adults with the Tram Ride : 23 SGD
Adults Entrance only : 18 SGD

We opted for entrance only because hubs said, if we take the Tram then we have to hop on and off the tram to get up close and personal with the birds. And if you are NTUC members you get additional 30% discount :) yay! sweet.

Hope you find time to explore JBP.
